    Personal Injury/Accident Cases

We’ve handled thousands of personal injury cases,  representing clients hurt in many different types of accidents, including those involving cars, taxis, buses and trains; slips and falls on sidewalks, roadways, building lobbys and staircases;  falls from ladders, scaffolds and other elevated areas at construction sites; defective machinery and household products;  improperly constructed and maintained elevators and many other types of cases.  We have achieved million dollar verdicts and settlements. There is no fee for handling a plaintiff's personal injury case unless we are successful and we will advance all expenses until the conclusion of the case.

What makes us different?

We pride ourselves on our ability to successfully handle complex cases and to obtain substantial recoveries even in cases where an insurance carrier believes that the injured party's case should be dismissed.  We do this by intensely investigating the facts and researching similar cases before we start a lawsuit and then relentlessly pursuing necessary documents and testimony from the opposing party and witnesses.

A "hands on" approach

We also believe in a “hands on” approach. Our lawyers visit accident sites, sometimes repeatedly, in order to better understand how an accident occurred and to determine if there may be other responsible parties to sue. We personally interview witnesses whenever possible. We try to spot problems and find potential cures for those problems as quickly as possible.

Appeals

If an opposing attorney refuses to produce the evidence we believe we need, we bring motions to compel them to respond. In state court, if a judge doesn’t order the production of the evidence we seek and we believe the law is on our side, we may immediately appeal the judge’s ruling to a higher court. Strange as it may seem, many plaintiff’s personal injury law firms do not handle appeals at all. Since they must pay an outside firm to do the work, it discourages them from appealing rulings that hurt their clients. Insurance companies often use the threat of an appeal of a ruling that is unfavorable to them as a way to force a lower settlement. We handle all our own appeals and welcome the opportunity to appear before appellate courts.

"My lawyer," "My client": a special bond

We believe that a unique bond is created when one of  our lawyers becomes your lawyer. We take great pleasure  in hearing someone refer to us as "my lawyer" and we take personal pride when we say to a judge or a jury, "my client." We will work hard to form that bond with you.
